Lynn Geelhoed
Senior Educator
My name is Lynn Geelhoed. I am married and have two lovely daughters who are each married and have children of their own. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 1990 with a B.S. in Education with minors in Math and Science and with certification to teach grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade. I have taught for over 20 years in our local elementary school as a Substitute Teacher and Long Term Substitute Teacher. Lynn’s Learning Center is my dream business. I get to focus on one student at a time and give them all of my attention. I get to teach students and watch them grow as learners.
Kayla Geelhoed
Educator
My name is Kayla Nowakowski. I am married and have a beautiful baby daughter. I graduated with honors from Western Michigan University in 2016 with a B.S. in Education with minors in Math and Science and with certification to teach grades Kindergarten through 8th Grade. I joined Lynn’s Learning Center after graduation from WMU. I enjoy helping the Middle and High School students with their High School Math and other studies.
We have a daughter that has always struggled in school. She has always been behind her peers academically. We were recommended to send her to Lynn’s Learning Center for tutoring by her 2nd grade teacher at Dorr Elementary School. She has been getting tutoring services from Lynn for the last 4 years and we feel very fortunate that we were led to her for help for our daughter. She is able to get her to understand her school work in a way we have never been able to. Lynn is so patient and is always able to help her with all of her school work. We would have never gotten through all of the online school that needed to be done this past school year without the tutoring services of Lynn’s Learning Center.
If you are looking for the most dedicated, caring, and best tutor for your child, Lynn is your gal! She has been there for both of my boys for 11 years! She helped my oldest, who is autistic, get all the way through school and onto graduation! She has been working with my youngest since he started school, and she is teaching him, not only how to do the work, but how to organize himself and set himself up for success. I would never take my kids any where else for tutoring. Lynn will help your child succeed in a caring, understanding way. She is amazing!
